Ronald Duane Howell, age 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018. Ron was born December 7, 1944 in Muncie, Indiana. The son of Dorwin and Mary Howell.

Ron and Nila were married for over 51 years. Together they had four children. Ron is survived by daughters; Sharon and her husband Trent Cowherd of Springfield, and Nitza Dee and her husband Chris Long of Rogersville; along with ten grandkids; twelve great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nila; and their two sons, Danny and Duane Howell; his brother; and parents.

One of his favorite topics of discussion was the time he worked for Rockwell International on the Space Shuttle Columbia, he could talk about it for hours. This was a very proud time in his life and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experiences with all who listened. He had many hobbies; fishing and traveling were on the top of the list. Together Mom and Dad loved traveling to Florida or going to NASCAR races as well as going fishing every chance they had.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at 6 PM, Friday, April 13, 2018, in the Mentor Baptist Church, 5735 South Farm Road 193, Rogersville, MO 65742.
