Ronald Joseph Carr, 70 of Springfield MO passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, in his home after a long battle with oral cancer. He was born December 20th, 1952, to William and Dorothy Carr in Independence MO.

After attending high school Ronnie joined the Navy where he served for 3 years. Ronnie worked primarily in construction and mining.  He found his career passion in drilling and blasting. Ronnie met the love of his life, Debbie Mustain in the early 1970's and they were united in marriage on December 22nd, 1974.  Ronnie and Debbie had 3 biological daughters and one bonus daughter and traveled the US where he worked in the construction mining industry. A proud Navy veteran, Ronnie was highly involved with the Disabled American Veterans serving as chapter and state commander and remained adjutant at the time of his death. He loved the KC Chiefs, fishing, hunting, and taking care of the people he loved. He was a grill master and loved entertaining and cooking for family and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Carr; sister, Patricia (Carr) Truman; and grandson, Dalton Cross

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Deborah (Mustain) Carr of the home; daughters, April (Alan) Cox of Springfield, Amber (Hutch) Cross of Pleasant Hope Mo, Brandy Carr of Crane MO and Sheila Mustain of Springfield; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Arrangements were initiated by Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO and the Chapter 11 DAV. Services will be Saturday May 27th at 1 PM at the Chapter 11 DAV Home at 2525 E Division Springfield, MO 65803.  He will be laid to rest with military honors in a private ceremony at a date to be determined.
