Roman Paul Weber, 87 years old, of Highlandville, MO, passed away June 27, 2017, at home. Roman, son of Frank and Susan Weber, was born November 14, 1929, in Waite Park, Minnesota, at his parents' home.
Roman joined the U.S. Navy in in 1946. He served 4 years as a Radioman. In 1950, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea during the Korean War. He served 39 years, and retired in 1989 as an E8 Master Sargent. Assignments included the Army Security Agency, Infantry, and Signal Corps within the 1st Inf. Div, 3rd Inf. Div, 4th Inf. Div, and 10th Mountain Divisions. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He liked spending time with his family and many friends. He loved doing military genealogy as a past time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Janice (Morgan) Weber; sons, Scott and Paul Weber of Highlandville; daughters, Tammy Coleman of Nixa, and Robin Riggio of Springfield; five Grandsons, four Granddaughters, and five Great-Grandchildren.
He was a Christian man and a longtime member of Riverdale Baptist Church, and will be greatly missed until we join him.
He will be laid to rest at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with full Military Honors on Monday July 3, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. Burial services will be for family only.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, July 3, 2017, in the Riverdale Baptist Church of Nixa.
