Roger Lee Woody, 61, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. He was born on April 13, 1964, to Harvey "Dean" and Elizabeth (Haywood) Woody in North Platte, Nebraska.

For 16 years, Roger served as a banquet captain at the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center, where he became much more than an employee — he became family. Known for his gentle heart, warm smile, and tireless work ethic, Roger took great pride in caring for others. His kindness left a lasting impression on his coworkers and the countless guests he welcomed and served each day.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey "Dean" Woody and Elizabeth (Haywood) Woody, as well as his significant other, Christopher Redfern.

Though he is no longer with us, the love and generosity he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, Missouri. A Celebration of Life honoring Roger's memory will be held at the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, where friends, family, and colleagues will gather to remember a life well lived.
