Roger Murphy Sanderson of Cape Fair, MO passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at 69 years old. He was born in Buffalo, NY but grew up in Palos Verdes, CA to Roger "Sandy" and Beatrice Sanderson.

Roger was an entrepreneur at an early age. He asked his parents for a welder when he was 14 years old and created his own business in the family garage. He went on to get his B.S. degree at Northrop Institute of Technology and Northrop Aeronautical Institute.

Roger's garage shop business turned into his career. He owned Pipeworks Fabrication for 50 years and opened a hardware store, Pipeworks Sales. He loved his work and was a sought-after fabricator. During the course of running his business he went to work for the Honda Racing Team in Torrance, CA.

As a teen Roger was inspired to fly airplanes by his dad who was a Captain for American Airlines. Roger was a natural pilot, soloing in his dad's Champion Citabria at 10hrs. He also loved motorcycles. He raced dirt bikes in the California desert and Baja. Later he stepped up to racing trucks. He continued on to chasing trophy trucks in Baja for different racing teams into his 50's. Motorcycles were always a part of his life and his family's life. Adventure was in his blood. He passed on his adventurous attitude to his children whom he adored.  He also loved sailing, boating, scuba diving, travel, and fishing.

Roger is survived by his wife of 25 years, Denise Ezell; their daughter, Sedona; their son, Rowden; and his sister, Donna.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sheila and brother, Russell. They all walk with Jesus now.

There will be a Celebration of Life for him in Southern California.
