Rita Sue Sanderson, 64, of Willard, MO went home Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

She was born October 7, 1959, to Oliver and Joyce Roberts in Oceanside, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves a legacy of love and family behind. She married the love of her life, Frederic Douglas Sanderson on May 31st, 1997. They had six children, Shaheen Motlagh, Ammy Sanderson, Jenifer Duncan, Margaret Sherman, LaVern Sanderson, and Aylah Renfro. She had 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was an active member of Galloway Full Gospel. "Mama" as she is known to most, loved so many things about life. She loved gardening, her animals, Arris Pizza and Central Dairy in Jefferson City, Sunday services, music, good red nail polish, collecting rocks, hot baths, plants, trips to the river, the jewelry her husband gifted her, cooking, a great cup of coffee, Christmas, and most of all her family. She was known for her generosity and her love for children and the unsheltered.

We will miss her forever. But we know she is in heaven with Jesus, her parents, and an abundance of friends and family surrounding her.

We will share in a celebration of her life 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 21st at Galloway Full Gospel in Springfield, MO.

To honor her dedicated service, her family will replenish the Grey Areas Pantry Box that she tirelessly worked on to support those in need. Contributions are warmly welcomed if you wish to participate in this meaningful tribute.
