Richard Theodore Murphy Jr, 73, of Springfield, MO passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024. He was born February 14, 1951, to Richard and Nancy Murphy.

Richard was a giver and was always ready to help his family and friends. He was a hard worker and never complained. Richard retired from Missouri State University after being employed there as a ground's keeper for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; his second wife, Carol; his parents, Richard and Nancy; his sister, Kathy Spartan; his brothers, Tom Murphy, Pat Murphy, and Terry Russell.

Richard is survived by his brothers, Brian Murphy, Tim Murphy, Kevin Murphy and Dennis Russell; his sister, Ann Mitchell; his aunt, Betty Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
