Richard Bruce McGuire, 64, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. He was born July 26, 1953, in Springfield, MO, to Chester and Wanda McGuire.

Richard loved fishing, coaching the athletes of the Special Olympics, being an alumni of the Boys and Girls Club and participating in many of their activities; but he especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy McGuire; infant son, Richard Jason McGuire; parents; and brothers, Mike McGuire and Kevin McGuire.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Megan and Deanna; step-son, Shane; grandchildren, Miley, Alexis, Bentley, Raylea and Aubrey; siblings, Bobby, Marsha and husband Steve, Marla and husband Alvin, and Jeff and wife Patty; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made directly to the family to help with funeral expenses.
