IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rebecca
Mckinnie
March 4, 1955 – March 26, 2022
We are all born into this world with only one promise…And that is that one day we will be called home. On that day God will call upon us to stand before him and answer for the way we lived our lives. On March 26 th , 2022 after a long battle with breast cancer, God called Rebecca Ann McKinnie home at the age of 67. She is pain free and smiling down upon us. It would be wrong to say that she lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we now know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She was a strong woman of faith, who loved reading her bible daily and spending time with her family. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, David McKinnie; along with her parents, Melvin and Cora Mae Terry; 2 brothers, Joe and Michael Terry. They are all welcoming her in the gates, looking down upon us. Right about now, she is naming off everyone she left behind. Her voice can be heard now saying she is survived by her 4 beautiful kids, Christopher (Jamie) McKinnie, David D. McKinnie, Kevin (Ashley) McKinnie, and LaShunda McKinnie. Wow..50 grandkids and great grandkids. Wonderful siblings, Melvin (Vanessa) Terry Jr., Danny Terry, Victoria (Frank) Parker, Teresa (Elder Tyrone) Waller, Christine Gorman and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
