Obituary

Randall Glen Seely, 58, of Nixa, MO, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, Nov. 7, 2017, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma multiforme. He was at home, surrounded by his family.

Randy was born May 26, 1959, in Springfield, to the late Harry G. and Ruth "Gene" (McDonald) Seely. He graduated from Cox College and worked as a radiologic technologist at Cox Health Systems in Springfield for 35 years. On Nov. 3, 1982, Randy married Susan Denise Stricklin, of Tulsa, OK in Springfield, and they had three children together. An avid traveler, amateur photographer, skilled musician, and beer enthusiast, he loved visiting Europe, making photobooks, hosting beer tastings for his friends, and playing with his beloved granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife Susan of Nixa; his son Stephen and spouse Keith Hoffman of England; his daughter Stephanie of Nixa; his son Seth of Kansas City; his sister Diana (Seely) Brown of El Paso, TX; his sister-in-law Paula (Stricklin) Slaughter and husband Mark of Marshfield, MO; his granddaughter Kaylee; a niece, several cousins and many dear friends.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. An open house visitation in his memory is planned for Friday, Nov. 10, from 5-8 pm at the family home in Nixa, with a celebration of life party to follow in December (contact family for details). All are welcomed to attend both events.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Grey Matters Fund at https://www.coxhealthfoundation.com/to-give/donate-now/ (please choose 'Grey Matters Fund' or make checks payable to Grey Matters Fund of SWMO c/o Cox Health Foundation), an organization that greatly supported the family during Randy's battle with cancer.
