Rae Lynn (Ham) Turk was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on August 29, 1923, to Raymond and Esther Ham. Rae Lynn and Bud Turk were married on August 30, 1942. She rejoined the love of her life on November 10, 2016.
Rae Lynn is survived by her daughters, Cherry Lynn Childress (Bob), Aurora, MO and Linda Raices (Randy), Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Lisa King (Alan), Ray Childress (Renee); great-grandsons, Logan Mayfield, Garrett Mayfield, Dalton Childress; and great-granddaughters, Jocelyn Childress, Ali King; great-great-grandsons, Ryland, Carson and Braxton; and of course her beloved Dashound, Cleo.
Rae Lynn was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora, MO. She loved playing bridge with her many rowdy friends. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed playing golf at Honey Creek with friends and family. Of Rae Lynn's many jobs by far her favorite was being the Head Resident at Freudenberger Dorm, Sun Villa Dorm at SMS (MSU). As Dorm Mother to hundreds of young men she continued to keep in touch with many of them to this day.
There will be a celebration of Rae Lynn's life on Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, in the First Presbyterian Church, 4 East College, Aurora, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Aurora or to any animal shelter of your choice.
