Phyllis E Arne age 91, of Springfield, MO passed away Friday evening, April 19, 2024, at Maranatha Village. She was born June 4, 1932, near Clark, SD. She is the daughter of the late Leonard and Eva Homme.

Phyllis was a woman of faith. She worked as a bookkeeper and retired from Edney Distributing Company, Inc. in Huron, SD. She enjoyed crocheting, arts & crafts, cards, puzzles, bingo, bible study, singing in the church choir and spending time with family and friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by daughter, JoAnne Duerkop; husbands, LaVerne Duerkop, Arden Brock, and Monroe Arne; son-in-law, David Scherf; and several family members.

Phyllis is survived by children, Jerry (Debbie), Judy, Russell (Sheena) Duerkop, and LeAnne Wipf Scherf (Mark Mitchell); several stepchildren and their families; grandchildren, Chad (Angie), Josh Duerkop, Justin (Tammy) Wipf, Stephen (Aracely), Daniel (Becky Rademacher) and Pfifer Duerkop; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Colin, Natalie, Bradley, Bianca, Gavin, London and Eli Duerkop, and Stacia and Alex Lopez; and great-great-grandchildren, Izzy and Aubree.

She also leaves other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Phyllis's family would like to thank Maranatha Village and Hospice Group for the compassionate care that was given to Phyllis.
