Obituary

Phil Tucker, 79, passed away quietly in his home in Rogersville, MO, February 19, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur D. James, Wilma E. (Wilson) James, Beatrice E. (James) Tucker and Morris B. Tucker; sister, Sandra J. (James) Bagwell; brothers, Larry D. James Reed and Stanley Lee James Lucky.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Stephen James Lucky and sister-in-law, Bonnie of Louisiana; daughter, Vicki Gilmore and son-in-law, Jeff and granddaughter, Amy Powell of Missouri. His sons, Philip Shawn Tucker and Gailon Tucker and his wife Sara; and daughters, Kim Hart and Dawn Xitco.

Phil met Pennie, fell in love and married October 22, 1999, and lived out their lives in Rogersville, MO. He enjoyed reading, watching sports, especially his beloved Broncos. Traveling and visiting with family and friends as his health allowed. He retired from working in Environmental Services at Mercy Hospital at the age of 75.

We hope you'll think of Phil and Pennie with fondness and a smile in your heart as they make their way hand in hand to the biggest reunion of all, greeting family and friends they haven't seen in many years. In lieu of flowers, please help their kindness, loyalty and passion continue for animals by volunteering or donating to Castaway Animals Rescue Effort (CARE) in Springfield, MO. Thank you for joining us in celebration of their life.
