It is with great sadness that the family of Phil Ford announce his passing. Phil was born on December 25, 1950, in Jobe, Missouri and entered into rest on January 25, 2025, in Springfield, MO after a brief illness. Phil was preceded in death by his parents Chris and Gladys Ford.

Phil is survived by his son and daughter in law, Jason and Christy Ford. His granddaughter and her fiancé, Faith Ford and Beau Black. His daughter Shelia and Anthony Caviness, grandchildren Abigail and Bertrand McLean, Libbie Ford, Amelia Pollard, Hayze Ford, Haelyn Ford, Zach and Amaya Caviness. Two great grandchildren, Zinneeinn McLean and Vanessa Greene. Also surviving in the home, his best friend, companion and the love of his life, Gretchen
Thompson.

Phil will be sadly missed by family and friends. Those that knew him, knew he could usually be found checking and working cows, farming with his son and driving the roads of the Elk Prairie neighborhood where he spent most of his adult life. Phil was a helper to all, a fine conversationalist and an all-around good man.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
