Paul "Skidmark" Thompson, 67, of Ash Grove, MO, was born in Schenectady, New York, December 9, 1952, to Billy and Hazel Thompson. He passed away January 4, 2020, at home with his wife and son by his side.

Paul is survived by his wife of 33 years, Michelle "Miki" Thompson; one son, Matthew Thompson; and three granddaughters and one grandson.

He lived a life that was filled with love, music, and laughter. He also found great joy with his family. Paul passed on his love of the road, music, and absolute love for family.  The first song he taught his son was Puff the Magic Dragon and to this very day is still the first song remembered. His absence will be greatly felt.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield, MO.
