Paul Jean Portman, 93, of Springfield, MO passed away Monday, October 21, 2024. He was born September 24, 1931, to Joseph and Mary Portman in Brownsville, TX.

Paul was the oldest of 7 children. He was a devout Catholic. He served in the United States Air Force and was a proud Veteran of the Korean War. In 2015, Paul was inducted into the Bowlers Hall of Fame.

He was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn Portman; his son, Craig Lee Portman; his parents; and all six of his beloved brothers and sisters.

Paul is survived by his children, Paul Portman Jr and wife Nina of Virginia, Deb Bailey and husband Richard of Bennet Springs, MO, BJ Portman and wife Cathy of Virginia, and Laura Brekken of Springfield, MO; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

At Paul's request there will be no services held at this time.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Paul's dear friend, Vic Lancaster, for all of her love and support.
