Obituary

Paul Christian Simpson passed away Thursday March 2, 2023, in Springfield, MO at the age of 69. He was born Tuesday, May 12, 1953, in New Orleans, LA to Thomas and Norma Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Norma Simpson; stepmother, Betty Simpson; grandparents, Spencer and Veva "B.B." Myers; and his beloved Aunt Betty Howell.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Louise "Miss Ellie"; his children, Sam (Dani), Adam (Jennifer), and Phillip; his stepchildren, Luke (Mallory), Connie (Kyler), Kelly (Brian), Carter, Caitlin (Jordan), and Clinton; his grandchildren, Shylie, Alyssa, Spencer, AJ, Zaylen, Jazmyn, Delaney, Jackson, Wyatt, Beatrice, Ezeriah, Rueben, Cecilia, Lorelai, and Gillian; his siblings, Gilbert (Joy), Angela (Jimmy), Patty (Clifford), Johnathan, and Charley Jo, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

Paul worked at AWG for 25 years and retired a proud Teamster. Following his AWG days, Paul was a "handy man" for many. He helped many people out with their projects and did it gladly. Paul helped family members with all of their needs. He was a dedicated father and grandfather, always known as PaPa Paul.

He loved to ride his motorcycle and take in the Ozark Mountains and scenery. He enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with the grandkids.

Paul will be remembered for his kind heart and smile. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held early summer in Loranger, LA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
