Obituary

Patricia Darlene Ingram of Carthage, Missouri passed unexpectedly from this life, aged 72 on November 26, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  Patty was born on October 30, 1952, in Webb City, Missouri to the late Bill and Doris (Wine) Henson.  She was the third daughter following the births of her older sisters Victoria and Margaret.

She was a 1971 graduate of Carthage Senior High School.  Patty was united in marriage to the love of her life Paul Ingram on August 10, 1974, in Carthage, MO. They went on to have two daughters, Sara and Ann.

Patty was an avid softball player and Carthage Municipal Pool lifeguard when she was younger and took up golfing for most of her adult life. Her love of sports was passed on to both daughters. Patty was an engaging storyteller. She used those skills to entertain her daughters' grade school classes and Carthage Public Library groups when they were young and her grandchildren later on. She also enjoyed traveling with her family regionally as well as to the Southeastern and Northwestern US. She took a special 25th anniversary trip to Canada with her husband, and she took multiple scuba diving trips to Mexico as well. Fishing was a family favorite, so she spent many years at Roaring River State Park, Table Rock Lake, Bull Shoals Lake, Beaver Lake and Toledo Bend Reservoir. Patty even learned to swim by jumping off the side of her parent's houseboat on Grand Lake O' the Cherokees. Her grandmother, the late Lucille Henson instilled a love for dominos, and she adored playing that and card games with friends and family weekly to the very end. Patty adored baking and crafting throughout the years, something she enjoyed with her grandkids as often as possible.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Doris Henson, and a host of other family members dear to her heart. Survivors are husband Paul Ingram of the home; daughters Sara Fife (James) of Grove, OK and Ann Myers (Nolan) of Carthage, MO; grandchildren Dalton, Willa, and Taylor Fife of Grove, OK and Casen Myers of Carthage, MO; sisters Vicki and Marti Henson of Carthage, MO; sisters-in-law Melissa Ingram of Carthage, MO and Anita Hole of Statesville, NC; as well as brother-in-law Bill Ingram of Carthage, MO.

In lieu of a memorial service, a Celebration of Life potluck will take place on December 7, 2024, from 1 to 4pm to be held at 510 W. Centennial Ave. Carthage, MO 64836.
