Pennie Tucker passed away peacefully in her home in Rogersville, MO, on February 19, 2019. Pennie was born Patricia Izona Ferraro in Philadelphia, PA to Joyce Phillips and Leonard Ferraro, her father Leonard was killed in the Invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, before her birth. Her mother moved her and her older sister back to Fort Smith, AR, in order to be closer to family. She attended Fort Smith High school and completed some college in Arkansas. She later moved around the Midwest, adopting her daughter and many animal friends along the way. When she finally met the love of her life, Phillip Tucker, they married October 22, 1999, and settled down in Rogersville, MO.

Anyone who met Pennie remembered her smile and love of life. She had a passion for animals, country music, soap operas, as well as watching her daughter play softball. She was preceded in death by husband, Philip Tucker; parents, Joyce and Leonard Ferraro; grandparents, James and Izona Byrum; and numerous four legged fur babies. She is survived by her loving daughter, Callie (Daniel) McKay; granddaughters, Tyla-Lynn McKay and Danielle McKay of Friday Harbor, WA; one sister, Darlene (Carlton) Holliday; and nephew, Brian Holliday of Mount Ida, AR.

We hope you'll think of Phil and Pennie with fondness and a smile in your heart as they make their way hand in hand to the biggest reunion of all, greeting family and friends they haven't seen in many years. In lieu of flowers, please help their kindness, loyalty and passion continue for animals by volunteering or donating to Castaway Animals Rescue Effort (CARE) in Springfield, MO.
