Obituary

Patricia Jeane Nichols was born on December 21st, 1952, in St Louis, MO and passed away February 9th, 2024, in Springfield MO.  She was a breast cancer survivor and endured a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Helen (Mossberger) Nichols; and brothers, Stan and Mike Nichols.

Patricia went to Northwest High School in House Springs MO (class of 1971) and went on to achieve a Master's degree at Central Michigan University.  At that time, she worked in Project Management and traveled the world.  She worked in North and South America, Europe, and Australia.  She loved to vacation in Hawaii, St Maarten, and yearly in Key West and was joined by many family and friends. She enjoyed going to country western concerts.   Patricia was a vibrant woman whom people loved to be around.   She was a lover of dogs, reading and helping others.

Patricia is survived by her son, Donald and Kristen (Sander) Smith and grandchildren, Austin and Brooklyn Smith. Siblings include Vicky (Nichols) Brown and her husband John, Nancy (Nichols) Bonnema and her husband John, Harvey Nichols Jr, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of Patricia's life will be held with family in Arkansas and then North Carolina where she will be buried alongside her parents at First Baptist Church Memorial.

Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM, in the Slate Funeral Home, King, North Carolina. Graveside services will follow at 3 in the First Baptist Church Memorial.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
