Obituary

Patricia Nina Lavoie, 84, of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on June 5, 2023. She was born April 5, 1939 in Fitchburg, MA to Dwight and Annette Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dwight (Little Andy) Jr.; her sister, Susan Beck; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Krehmeier.

Patricia is survived by her sister, Jean Krehmeier and brother-in-law, Rick Beck of Springfield, MO; her four children, John Lavoie of New Ipswich, NH, Barbara Piazza and Susan Berube of Springfield, MO and Daniel Lavoie of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Samantha McBryde of Greenville, SC, Jeremy Lavoie of New Ipswich, NH, Nicole Taylor-Maule of Nelson, NH, Kenneth Jewett of Fruitland Park, FL and Jessica Utter of Nixa, MO; niece, Laura Caravella and her husband David; nephew, Daryl Muir; niece, Kim Hawkins and her husband Robert; nephew, Scott Krehmeier and his wife Deb; and Billy, Emmett and Anna Lin too. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Liam, Ainsley, Elliot, Elizabeth and Beckett and many extended family members and friends.

She grew up in Fitchburg, MA. She enjoyed spending summers with her family at the farm in Vermont or a trip to the beach. She graduated from FHS in 1957. She worked as the best waitress at a few different places including The Old Mill in Westminster, Landlord Ben's in Sterling and became manager of JR's Pub in Fitchburg.

In 1985, she made the big move to Springfield, MO. She worked at a couple restaurants, one being The Shady Inn with her sister, Jean, and her long-time neighbor, Sharon Ward. She landed a job at Bass Pro and became the manger of Customer Service and the Cash Department. She traveled the country helping to open new stores before retiring in 2006.

Pat enjoyed being with her family at home or at the lake. She loved to play games whether it was Trivial Pursuit, Pitch or even Horseshoes in her earlier days. She loved to knit and crochet. "Bang, bang, shoot 'em up" movies were her favorite. She loved to watch NASCAR races on Sunday afternoons. GO MARTIN!  Her great-grandchildren brought so much joy to her in her final years. She was the best co-pilot on a road trip and the best room-mate one could ever have.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at her home on Sunday, the 18th of June, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
