Starts at 11:00 am
Pamela (Pam) Jo Rieck was born on October 8th, 1970, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
She passed away February 9th, 2026, at the age of 55, after a yearlong battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her mom, sister and Mitzi, their loyal family dog.
Pam is survived by her mother, Nancy Rieck of Springfield, Missouri, and her sister, Donna (Benji) Tunnell of Webb City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Rieck.
Pam grew up in White Bear Lake and Hugo, Minnesota. She became a believer when she was at church camp during grade school, a faith that she carried throughout her life. She found joy in telling others about the love of Christ.
She graduated from Stillwater Area High School in 1989. During her time in high school, she participated in Hope Anew, a choir group at the First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The group traveled around the United States singing about the Lord and spreading the gospel. Pam loved singing for the Lord and telling others what the Lord had done in her life.
Pam volunteered for 8 years with Youth for Christ, where she led a bible study for troubled teen girls. It was in this role that she was able to use her love of Christian music as a ministry tool.
Pam attended Century College in White Bear Lake, MN, where she graduated in 1997 with a degree in cosmetology.
Pam worked first at Northwestern Bookstore, a Christian bookstore in Minnesota. She worked in the music department and got to meet many Christian artists as they travelled through the Twin Cities. It was here that she continued to embrace her love of Christian music.
After leaving the bookstore, she worked as a cosmetologist for 5 years.
Pam then worked at Fairview Fridley Clinic as a Registrar from 2008- 2013.
After a move to Missouri, Pam began working for Cox Health Hospital in Springfield as a patient registration representative in December of 2013. She remained there until her passing. She especially loved working with the patients and had many cherished co-worker friends.
Pam's longtime church home was Second Baptist Church in Springfield.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Gathering Room at Second Baptist Church 3111 E. Battlefield Road Springfield, MO 65804 (east entrance) on March 14th, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
