Orville (Buck) Eugene Young, 85, passed away on March 23, 2016. He was born on May 27, 1930 in Springfield, MO to Oscar Ellis Young and Mabel Aileen Conn Young.

He served in the U.S. Navy for three years during the Korean War. He then worked for the United States Postal Service where he rose to the position of Postmaster of the Duarte California Post Office, until the time of his retirement in 1988.

He was first married to Rose Marion Yount on January 16, 1951. He had two daughters, Dianna Rose Bailey, born June 12, 1952 and Susan Renee Young, born December 31, 1957. He was married to Rose until her death in 1994.

He lived in California from 1959 to 1992. He then returned to reside in Republic until his death.

On September 4, 1997 he married Bebe Lorrell Taylor, who he was married to at the time of his death.

He is survived by wife, Bebe; his two daughters, Dianna Rose Bailey and Susan Renee Young; his two granddaughters, Shannon Mary Bailey, Samantha Rose Tuinstra and her husband, Matt William Tuinstra; and great-grandson, Miles William Tuinstra; sisters, Helen Marguerite, Norma Jean, Betty Lou and Rosemary and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James David.

He was an active member of Brookline Baptist Church where he served on the finance committee and as liaison to Grand Oak Mission, purchasing food weekly, with church funds for the food bank.

Orville's life will be celebrated at a memorial on April 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Brookline Baptist Church.
