Oma Kathryn (DuBois) Leonard was born on January 16, 1934, in Randolph County, Arkansas, to Lawrence and Florence DuBois. She died on November 9, 2015 in Springfield, Missouri. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, B.C Leonard; brother-in-law, Jack Jones; and nephew, Keith Lawrence Jones. Kathryn graduated from Couch High School and Missouri State University, finishing with her Master's degree in Education. Kathryn taught for 31 years and was presented with a bronze sundial in her honor at Two Mile Prairie Elementary School for her tireless work on the Outdoor Classroom. Kathryn dearly loved all of her students and stayed in touch with many throughout the years. She gave of her time and talents more recently in Republic, Missouri by sewing comforters for People Helping People. She was also a member of Republic Church of Christ. Kathryn is survived by her family, sister, Mary Jones of Springfield; nieces, Cindy and Marisa Jones; great-niece, Lily Stockton; great-nephews, Arlo and Jonah Jones-Side;, four great-great nieces and many cousins.
