Nila Maria Howell passed away peacefully on August 25, 2015, at her home in Ozark, MO, after a brief struggle with cancer. Nila was born April 4, 1947, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The daughter of Jose and Victoria Osso. Nila was married to Ron Howell for over 51 years. Together they had four children. Nila is survived by her husband, Ron Howell; daughters, Sharon and her husband Trent Cowherd of Springfield and Nitza Dee and her husband Chris Long of Rogersville; along with ten grandkids; eleven great grandkids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Danny and Duane Howell; her sister; her brother and her parents. She enjoyed a variety of crafts and hobbies including cross-stitch, knitting and stained glass. Reading was another one of her favorite past times. Everyone who knew her knows of her love for Mickey Mouse, Disney, her music and NASCAR. There will be a celebration of Nila's life on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, 6 pm, in the Mentor Baptist Church, 5735 South Farm Road 193, Rogersville, MO 65742.
