Nancy Lee Horeis, 78, of Nixa, Mo passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023. She was born April 16, 1945, in Dannebrog, NE to Axel and Marian Jensen.

Nancy was employed for 13 years as the Office Manager in the Nursing Department at Missouri State University. She was very well respected by her coworkers and the students there. Nancy was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church-Nixa campus. She loved to keep busy and enjoyed spending her free time baking, reading and working on crafts. Her favorite past time and most cherished roll was that of being a mom and grandma to her family and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jackie Borcherding and Beverly Franklin.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Steve Horeis; children, Stacie Finken and husband Joe and Clayton Horeis; grandchildren, Chris Finken, Kaitlyn Harper, Sarah Finken, Winter Horeis, Kraigen Horeis and Collyn Horeis; five great grandchildren; her sister, Barb Harrison and husband, Keith; and a host of family and friends.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
