Nancy Kay (Cook) Dalton, 71, of Ava, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, in the Heart of the Ozarks Nursing Home. She was born November 24, 1943, in Seymour, MO, to Isaac and Margaret Cook. She attended Diggins Elementary School, graduated from Seymour High School in 1961, and went on to take a few college classes at Southwest Missouri State University. Nancy worked at G.E. from 1972 until her retirement in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin Denzil Dalton in 2008; her parents, Isaac and Margaret (Leatherman) Cook; and brother, Mickey Cook. Nancy is survived by 3 sons, Shawn Dalton and wife Darla of Aberdeen, SD, Shain Dalton of Ava, MO, and Shannon Dalton and wife Kay of Mansfield, MO; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandkids; and siblings, Earl Cook and wife Sandra of San Antonio, TX, Judy Frantz and husband Mike of Seymour, MO, Peggy Haggard of Seymour, MO, Karen Grabher and husband Carl of Seymour, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her dearly. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Seymour, MO. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
