Michael "Mike" Alan Crippen, Sr., 64, of Springfield, MO passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He was born February 10, 1959, to Frank, Jr. and Hazel Hamm Crippen in Alexandria, LA.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches, LA, graduating from Natchitoches Central High School, and later graduating from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Jr. and Hazel Hamm Crippen; his paternal grandparents, Frank, Sr. and Estelle Wilkinson Crippen; his maternal grandparents, Clinton Cason Hamm and Annie Kelly Hamm; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those left with empty hearts to carry on his memory are his children, Kaitlyn Crippen Daugherty, of Webb City, MO; Michael Alan Crippen, Jr. of Little Rock, AR; his grandchildren, Aiden James Ingram, Luna Evelynn Ophelia Daugherty, Ella Delilah Daugherty, all of Webb City, MO; his only sibling, his sister, Debbie Crippen Zumalt, of Lafayette, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom he loved more than life itself and who loved him in return.
In lieu of flowers, please smile at a stranger, make someone laugh, or do a random act of kindness to brighten someone's day to make them feel special which Mike was so well known and loved for.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
