Michael Edward Campbell, or Mike as he was known to his friends, passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 65 years.

Born in Melbourne, FL, where he grew up near his beloved beaches, Mike spent summers with his parents on Table Rock Lake and attended SMSU (now Missouri State University), graduating with a B.S. in Geography. It was at SMSU that he met his wife, luring him into a life as a reluctant Midwesterner.

Mike was proud of his diverse talents and his experiences in multiple careers, including operating a successful horse photography business; earning his teaching certificate and teaching middle school and special education; and achieving EMT certification and serving as a first aid/safety rep in the Gulf of Mexico and Egyptian oil fields.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Campbell.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Campbell; his mother, Florence Campbell; daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Ryan Jaycox; grandchildren Abby, Ethan, Andrea and Aleah Jaycox; his brother, Jim Campbell; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

A celebration of Mike's life will be scheduled at a future post-covid date. Memorial donations can be made to the ALS Association.
