Michaeleen Riel was born Michaeleen McLinden January 10, 1955, at St Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, California.

She attended 12 years of Catholic school, was married for 27 years and had two stepsons. For 21 years she worked at Sacramento Electric Company as Customer Service and then Credit Manager. She loved that job because it was her position that would field calls from those having trouble paying their bills. She just loved helping.

She divorced in 2012 and moved to Springfield, Missouri where many family members had migrated. In Springfield she was surrounded by her eldest sister, Gerry and her family with eight children. She had various jobs as well as volunteered with Crosslines Food Pantry loving every minute. She was always the helper, not wanting to be a burden to any.

On August 6, 2020, she fell in love with Claude O' Dell who has been by her side throughout this illness and with her to the end. Michaeleen not only fell in love with Claude, but she also embraced a new relationship with the Lord and trusted him throughout her journey. She was not afraid to die and held her head high no matter the pain or exhaustion. She wanted us all, her family and friends to be as at peace as she was with her journey home.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 2210 W. Republic Rd Springfield, MO 65807.
