Local real estate investor, Merle Edward Woolley, 81, of the Springfield area, passed away from natural causes Friday, September 2, 2022. He was born June 29, 1941, in Blackwell, OK, to Edgar and Ada Woolley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou Miller; and granddaughter, Stacia Woolley Barnett.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Woolley; son, Mark Woolley of Missouri; daughter, Kimberly McGilvrey of Oklahoma; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Bethany Woolley (Ava and Jacob), Misti and Charlie Yundt (Ruthie, Levi and Lyndin), and Joey Barnett (Issac and Joslin); sister, Marilyn Conaster of Oklahoma; nephew, David Miller of Oklahoma; and many other family members.

Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 am with funeral services to follow at 11:30, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, all to be held in the Southgate Baptist Church, 5701 S Farm Road 157, Springfield.
