Melissa Lynn Trokey, 48, of Springfield, MO passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born February 26, 1976, to Robert and Jeannie Trokey in Hammond, Indiana.

Melissa had a heart of gold and was a special friend to many. She loved to listen to music and dance; she also enjoyed reading and writing poetry.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her siblings, Connie Bowers and husband Randy, Terry Henslee, Tammy Opdike, Patty Bowers and husband Richard, Janelle Trokey and Fred Trokey; her special niece, Michelle; many other nieces and nephews; and her partner, Gene Lemons.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
