Melisa Dawn Sartin was born October 24, 1970, at Mansfield Hospital and departed this life on September 19, 2019, at Cox South at the age of 48 years, 11 months and 5 days.

She is survived by her father, Robert Thomas Sartin and wife Carol; her mother, Paulette Thomas all of Seymour; two sons, Corey Robert Sartin of Diggins and Dylan Chase Clarke and his girlfriend, Darrian Noonan; granddaughter, Leah Jean Clarke all of Seymour; sisters, Hollie (Robbie) Harbison of Pensacola, FL, and Bobbie (Michael) Bushman of Emporia, KS; nieces and nephews, Ashley Allen and Sydney Allen and Dante and Wednesday Bushman; and aunts and uncles, Kimberly and Jim Thompson, Tommy and Sheila Hoggatt all of Seymour; Pam and Wil Osteen of Galveston, TX, Janet and Jeff Hensley and Don and Brenda Sartin of Marshfield, MO.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Peggy "Gran" Hoggatt; and paternal grandmother, Nadine "Grammy" Sartin; great-grandmother, Alice "Mama" Matney; and uncle, Billy Hoggatt.

Melisa graduated from Seymour High School in 1989. She worked at Grammy's Laundromat during High School. She worked as a waitress and also a caregiver for her beloved Grammy. She loved her sons, Corey and Dylan and granddaughter, Leah. Her friends were important to her. She was quick to say "I Love You". She accepted Christ as her Savior in baptism about 2002. Melisa loved to barbeque and swim with friends and family at the creek. She also collected camels.

She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt. Anyone who met Melisa knew her heart was a big as Texas. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

No services are planned at this time. Burial will be a private graveside memorial at a later date.
