Melana Marie Shepard, 19, was born to Gary Dean Shepard and Christine Marie Urbain on May 12, 1998. Survived by her mother, Christine of Bolivar; her Bubba, Joseph of Colona, IL; sister, Cassie of Bolivar; grandparents who love her very much; and a host of beloved family as well as friends that became family.

Preceded in death by her daddy, Gary Dean, in 2002 and Aunt Melana Ann in 1982.

Melana left us on November 2, 2017, at 12:10 PM, at Cox Health due to serious illness. There will be a service held in Melana's honor, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, located at 2026 W. Woodland St, Springfield, MO. The service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 2 PM.

Melana made this world a more beautiful place and will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
