Matthew Robert Spitz, 46, of Springfield, MO passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025. He was born August 17, 1979, to Robert and Christine Spitz in Jefferson Township, NJ.

Upon graduating high school, Matthew served with the U.S. Army for four years.  He served two tours of engagement during the Kosovo conflicts in the Balkins region of Europe.

Matthew was employed in the construction industry, inclusive of high-rise buildings and commercial roofing.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother - Christine (Lyons) Spitz – 1996.

Matthew is survived by his father, stepmother - Patricia Spitz, two sisters - (Laurie LaCouture and Tracy Latona), as well as grandparents - Don and Janet Lyons.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield, MO.
