Matthew Henricks

Matthew "Matt" Dillon Henricks, of Humansville, MO passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026. He was born February 26, 1990, to Michael and Brenda Winger Henricks in Springfield, MO.

Matt grew up in Springfield and then moved to Rogersville where he graduated high school. He attended college at OTC for diesel mechanics. He was a very well educated and talented mechanic and very good at what he did. He also was an automotive detailer for MDP motors in Rogersville for over 10 years.

Matt was loving and fiercely protective of his long-term girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Chelsea. He was the absolute best father to his daughter, Matilyn. Everyone knew that “his girls” were his entire world. He was an awesome brother and dedicated son and caregiver to his father. Matt loved hunting, fishing, going to the lake, and helping others. He would help anybody, anytime, without hesitation or asking for anything in return.

He overcame many obstacles in life, faced many hardships, yet he stayed strong and climbed out of the depths of addiction. Matt touched many lives by changing his ways, and we are shining examples of what strength, hard work and determination can do to put one's self on the correct path. Sadly, his time was cut short at 36 years old.

His mother, Brenda preceded him in death on July 3, 2011.

Matt is survived by his significant other, Chelsea Sherman; his daughter, Matilyn Jean Henricks, who had her 2nd birthday on April 12, 2026; his father, Michael Henricks; his brother, Steven Henricks; and many other family members and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
