Saturday 6/27 at 3:15AM, Marylou Tucker left behind her pain and entered into her heavenly reward. She was born August 23, 1933, to the late Joseph and Margaret Buda in Flint, Michigan. She was in the church choir when she met Brent Tucker, and they were married on August 17, 1957. He preceded her in death in August of 2023. Marylou took her wedding vows seriously as she guided Brent through a life of deafness for nearly 66 years. Her tears when Brent passed were largely of relief that he would never have to navigate life alone. Through it all, she remained dedicated to God and her family. She took great pride in keeping a tidy house and making sure all needs were attended to, all while working part time as an administrative assistant in insurance. She also freely lent those administrative talents to the Richfield Road United Brethren Church. In 1997, she and Brent relocated to West Plains, Missouri and enjoyed many happy times with Brent's sister, Hattie and her husband Gene, both of whom preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her only child, son, David (Kat) Tucker; grandchildren, Joe Tucker, Jordan (Malene') Tucker, and Abigayle Tucker; as well as her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Angie; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Kay (Glen) Lakey, Mickey (Goldie) Buda, and Steve (Coleen) Buda. Cremation has taken place, and details for a celebration of Marylou's life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
