Click
March 10, 1931 – August 11, 2020
Marjorie "Marge" Fay Pennycuick Click, age 89, of Springfield, MO, passed away on August 11th, 2020. She was born March 10, 1931, in Teresita, MO, the youngest child of Richard J. and Beulah M. Pennycuick.
Marge grew up and attended elementary school in Teresita and attended high school in Birch Tree, MO. After graduation she attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield before moving to West Plains, MO, to live and work. There she met Raymond Click, her future husband. They were married in 1951 in San Diego, CA, where Ray was stationed with the Navy. They were happily married for 65 years and traveled coast to coast during Ray's naval career. Marge and Ray eventually settled back in San Diego for Ray's second career and later moved to Springfield to enjoy their final retirement years.
Marge was a dedicated homemaker who raised her family with love, humor, and energy. She was especially happy to be rewarded with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved family game nights with the Pennycuicks and never passed up a card game opportunity. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, traveling, puzzles, bingo, and country music. Marge was a strong woman who lived a long, busy, and loving family life. We will miss her every day.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; son, Stephen; and siblings, Fred Pennycuick, Velma Pennycuick Caffey, Josephine Pennycuick Cox, and Goldie Pennycuick Hinds.
Marge is survived by daughters, Linda Freeman of San Diego and Dianne Moss of Springfield; son-in-law, Bob Freeman; grandchildren, Katie O'Connor, Hannah Arevalo, Becky Freeman, and Chris Moss; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date in San Diego, CA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
Memorials or donations may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
