Marion Earl Walker, 86, of Brookline Station, MO, passed away March 31, 2023. He was born October 12, 1936, in Pilot Grove, IL, as one of the sons of Lester and Erma Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Marion is survived by his wife, Vicki Lee Walker, 81, of Brookline Station, MO; three sons, Earl Wayne Walker, Randall Edward Walker, and Jason Lee Walker and their spouses, Chastity Lee Walker, Angela Koeeta Walker, and Britney Rae Walker; 1 daugher, Paula Marie Walker; as well as eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Marion was a service member of the United States Marine Corps in which he proudly served from 1956 - 1957 as a rifleman. He was a Diesel Mechanic and a long-term DAV driver for the Chapter 11 division and volunteered for over 25 years. He was a dedicated father, friend, and a wonderful member for the Promise Church located in Springfield, MO. He loved fishing, working on his hobbies which included gardening, puzzles and model cars and boats. Marion was a spiritual man who placed his hope in the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a people person which is evident by his many lifelong friends that he greatly loved. Marion battled many hardships and major health issues in his later years but he faced them with great determination and strength. When Marion was forced in a wheelchair, he never let any of his challenges beat him, he was always determined to work on his garden and his garage to make it the best. He loved to serve others as well as put a smile on their face and he was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, April 3, 2023, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland St, Springfield, MO. Graveside services will be at 9 AM, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in the Missouri Veterans State Cemetery with full Military Honors.
