Margaret Rose Smelcer, making it to her 79th birthday, passed away October 11, 2018. As the youngest child of eight, she was born to Walter and Ruth Reeves on October 8, 1939 in Grand Chain, IL.
Margaret was wed to Theron Smelcer in 1963, and was happily married for 34 years before his passing in 1997. During this time, she became the mother to three children: Becky, Amy, and Tim. She enjoyed listening to country gospel and polka music, and loved being on the road to visit family. Margaret also took joy in gardening, and canning - "the way Grandma did."
She is survived by her children, as well as her sister, Ruth Anne Brunson.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth, her husband, Theron Smelcer, and by her siblings, Virginia Louise, Lawrence Walter, Elizabeth Josephine, William Joyce, Mary Gertrude, and John Whitnel.
Services for Margaret will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Agape Baptist Church located at 12998 E 1400 RD. in Stockton, MO. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband, Theron, at the Big Flats Cemetery in Wisconsin.
