Margaret (Maggi) Faye Murray Crance, age 73, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Friday morning, July 11, 2014. She was born October 19, 1940, to the late Paul Milton and Pearl Arlena (Pitts) Murray. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tommi Crance of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons; Grant Tomlins and his wife Angela (Bolin) of Columbia, MO and Isaac Tomlins and his wife Carly (Wester) of Albany, WI; and her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Darrell Wood of Fair Grove, MO; two great-grandsons, two nephews, great-nephews and a great niece. She was a 1958 graduate of Parkview High School and a cosmetologist until 1978; she attended Drury University night school. Throughout her life, she was a Campfire Girl leader, a church youth-group leader and volunteer at the St. John s hospital; Maggi was always willing to help with any need, no matter family, friend or stranger. She had a variety of interests through the years from gourmet cooking to scuba diving; with her most cherished activities of reading fiction, word games and playing Big Boogle, which she played until nearly the end. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM, on Monday, December 15, 2014, in the clubhouse at Ozark Highlands, Springfield, MO. Please come with memories and stories to share.
