Mandy Lyn Johnson, 42, of Springfield, MO, passed away May 19, 2020. Mandy was born October 28, 1977, in Springfield, MO, to Steven and Veronica Pendergrass.

Mandy as a child was sweet and fun loving. As she became older she was a mother to all her little friends. Mandy excelled as a student and in everything she did. She graduated from high school and went on to college for a short time. She married Larry Andrus and had 2 sons, Brett & Austin. After being a stay at home mom for a while, she discovered she was a mom to many people and children in need. Her hobbies were tie-dyeing, art and plants. She was always on the go.

Mandy was preceded in death by her Uncle Tom, Grandma Juanita White, Grandma Aletha Winens, Great-grandma Gracie Halstead; husband, Eddie Johnson; aunt, Melody Barton; cousin, Michael Barton; and other aunts and uncles.

Mandy is survived by her sons, Brett Andrus and Austin Andrus; fiancé, Michael Drew; mother and stepfather, Veronica and Doug Bartley; father and step-mother, Steven and Connie Pendergrass; siblings, Quentin and wife Dachel Pendergrass, Megan and JR Deckard, JP McReynolds, Dusty and Kayla Bartley; father of her children, Larry Andrus; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and many others whom she took in as though they were her own.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, May 22, 2020, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland St, Springfield, MO. Please be advised that guidelines for social distancing are being followed and allowing small groups of people into the chapel at one time to visit with the family. Please be patient as others will need to wait in their cars or outside.
