Malia Headlee

Malia Sue Headlee or known as Jessica Lou Krystal, 63, of Acworth, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. She was born March 6, 1963, to Gary and Mary Sue Headlee in Springfield, MO.

Malia graduated from Hillcrest High School and decided to join the military. She proudly served in the United States Army as an air traffic controller for several years. After receiving an honorable discharge, she decided that Georgia was the right place for her to settle into civilian life. She provided care for children through in-home daycare. Preferring the company of animals to most people, she had a special love for her cats, who provided her with comfort and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Headlee; infant brother; her brother, Kevin Headlee; and grandparents, Norman and Ada Headlee and Ralph and Nona Allen.

She is survived her mother, Mary Sue Headlee; siblings, Rick Headlee and wife Glenda, Nancy Pfankuch, Carol Fuller and husband Stephen, and James Headlee and wife Missy; her sister-in-law, Monika Headlee; nieces and nephews, Ashley Hove and husband Mike, Jessica Kindell and husband Byron, Kaitlyn and Kyle Headlee, Hedley Nelson and husband Ethan, Erin Fuller, Lexi Headlee and partner Jerod Smith, and Shelby and Casey Headlee; and great nephews, Ronan Hove, Greyson Kindell, Wayne Nelson, and Jasmine Smith.
