Lori Jeneane VanHorn, 58, was born July 23, 1964 to Marvin L and Tamara L Thompson. On January 6, 2023, she left this earth, to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lori had a heart for the hurting and was always quick with a smile, a word of encouragement or a joke to make you laugh and lended a helping hand to many. She won the hearts of the people that she served in her 40+ years of customer service, retail sales and management through Price Cutter, Walgreens and 2 rental agencies here in Springfield.

She is survived by her Mother, Tamara Thompson, Springfield MO; 2 sons- Joseph(Kylie) VanHorn of Joplin, MO, grandson-Jensen;  Joshua VanHorn, Springfield MO; Aunt-Judy Freeman, Springfield MO; Sisters- Susan Procter and Angela Thompson, Springfield MO; Marylay Tillison, Griffin GA; Francine Lee, Hampton, GA; Nephews- Adam Procter(Shaina) Ozark MO; Daniel Painter(Jeanette) San Diego CA; Niece-Sonja Gormely(Joshua) Bismark ND and 6 grand nephews.

Lori was preceded in death by her sister Heather Grootens; her Father Marvin L. Thompson; Paternal grandparents Emerson and Wren Thompson, Maternal grandparents Bill and Margaret Wedmore; and her sons' Father Larry VanHorn.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 4-6pm Wednesday Feb 1 ^st , 2023@ Dayspring Church 2157 N Prospect Ave Springfield, MO 65803. Come and share a good memory of Lori with us.
