Obituary

Lorene "Sissie" McClung of West Plains, MO gained her angel wings October 10, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 67.

Sissie was born February 13, 1951 in Fifty Six, AR to Dail and Bessie Vickrey.

Growing up Sissie was her mommas pet, and the other kids knew it too. They walked through many trials in life together. She went squirrel hunting and fishing with her dad, and they even played a little guitar together, and she continued to play a little later on in life. She sewed some of her and her siblings clothes at times, and later made clothes for her daughter. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and the lake.

Sissie met her soul mate, Tom Engh, 15 years ago. She loved watching Cubs baseball and Bears football with him (even though her daughter did not agree with their choice of teams). They loved playing golf together. They played in the cat-dog scramble every week before she found out she had lupus and could no longer be out in the sun much. Although she could not play anymore, you could always count on coming to their house and finding them watching it on tv. She also enjoyed watching Nascar at times. He was always by her side, and took the best of care of her. They were two peas in a pod!!

Sissie had a heart of gold and the sweetest soul. She loved life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, they was the light of her life. She showed Dakota she had a few driving skills too, while racing in the back yard. She would tug on his beard and had her own little "pet" name for him. She was the only one who could get by with calling him Kody. SierraRain could do no wrong. They loved going shopping together ( for some reason Sierra always got pretty much what she wanted, even if they had to have Tom go online to get it), and watching Alaskan Bush People. She even had her own bedroom with the theme of her choice (which was changed even though the other one was perfectly fine).

Sissie was her daughters first best friend, and continued to be so all through her life (even though she wanted to pinch her head off at times) They went through all struggles in life together. They shared every secret with each other, and spent many nights on their late night phone calls. They went through crazy fun times with LOTS of laughter, and sad and trying times with tears shed together. Never think you will get by with taking her car to Wolfley Hole, you will have to send her flowers. LOTS of stories to be told on their road together.

Sissie was a hard worker all of her life before getting ill. She has worked in the factory, been a server, a seamstress, and she even got chicken grower of the year while living on the farm. She loved putting out her little garden, always had to have those cucumbers and tomatoes. She loved working in her flowers and with her plants. She also loved her Pepsi!! She was the best Mom, Grandma, Sister, Soulmate, and friend a person could ever have.

Sissie had struggled through many medical problems over the years, and she fought very hard and always pulled through. This time her body just couldn't handle it anymore. God came and took her pain away. It leaves us all with an empty spot in our hearts, but she is no longer suffering. She is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Sissie is survived by one daughter, Lesa Hand of Pottersville, MO; two grandkids, Dakota Hand of Pottersville, MO and SierraRain Pacheco of Pottersville MO; One sister, Jilene (Ronnie) Brannon of Mtn View, AR; soulmate, Tom Engh of West Plains, MO; three nieces, LaRhonda (Jim) Apata of Conway AR, Shelley (Skip) Sanford, of Maumelle AR and Carrie Jackson, of Marshall AR; two great nephews, three great nieces, three great-great nieces and two great-great nephews.
