IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa
Oberman
December 9, 1959 – March 12, 2025
Lisa Beth Oberman, 65, of Ava, MO passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025. She was born December 9, 1959, to Morty and Linda in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was the first of three children.
Lisa attended elementary and high school in Montreal after which to further her education and reconnect with her Jewish heritage she traveled to the Middle East and took up residence in the Kabutz, David. to finance this experience, she worked in the Kabutz Dairy, where she daily milked 260 cows. She did the job as efficiently and quickly as possible, so that she could go to the beach and work on her tan. When she returned to Montreal she only stayed there for a few months before she decided to once again seek a warmer climate and proceeded to relocate to the sunshine state of Florida.
In Florida she found gainful employment in the clothing industry at first and later worked for the Vista BMW dealership in Pampano Beach. During her time in Pampano Beach she met a Belgian fellow who worked in the marine industry named Marc Cardinaels. They married in 2003 and lived in West Palm Beach Florida for over 2 years. They then moved to a home 5 miles south of Ava, Missouri where she raised and trained fine Andalusian horses and more recently Friesians.
Lisa was a kind gentle spirit who could not stand to see another person or an animal in pain or anguish. She was an excellent horsewoman and enjoyed "jousting" or "tillting" while astride one of her fine Andalusian Stallions, "Distanto". She was also a skilled businesswoman handmaking and selling horse tack and equine supplements.
She was preceded in death by her father, Morty Oberman; and her youngest brother, Jeffery Oberman.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 22 years, Marc Cardinaels of Ava, MO; mother, Linda Wolloz and brother, Gary Oberman; both of Montreal, Canada; and a host of friends and loved ones all over the United States and Canda as well as around the world.
Lisa was a tireless work and the very picture of the Bible verse in Proverbs 31:10 that says, "Her price is far above rubies." She was a Messianic Jew and though we mourn her loss - to us - she is found in Christ Jesus.
