Lisa A. (Chatwood) Flaugher, 63, died in Springfield MO, on January 27, 2022, after a years long illness. Lisa was born in Peoria IL, on February 18, 1958, the only daughter of Theodore F. and Mary (Whalen) Chatwood. She attended St. Thomas School in Peoria Heights Il. In 1976 Lisa graduated from the Academy of Our Lady. She later earned an associates degree from Illinois Central College.

Lisa is survived by her son, Matthew Flaugher of Springfield MO; her stepdaughters Lisa (Erick) Smith of Mackinaw IL; Kimberly (Chris) Tortorelli of Salem OR; and Stephanie Contreras of Colorado; her brothers John F. (Lori) Chatwood of Carson City NV and Kevin H. (Diana Schroer) Chatwood of Peoria IL; her dearest lifelong friend Ronny Kent of Peoria IL; her grandchildren Cameron Smith, Jordyn Smith and Everett Tortorelli; and many loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by both her parents.

Lisa worked for a number of years at the Peoria Friendship House where she was involved with the Stuff- A- Bus annual food drive and Dress for Success, a program that provides job appropriate clothing for disadvantaged women entering the workforce. Lisa also worked for many years at the Patrician Home, a small board and care home in Peoria providing assisted living to seniors. Over the years Lisa filled many positions at the Patrician Home including preparing meals for the residents and providing help with personal care and hygiene.

Lisa's last several years were spent struggling with many health issues. Still, she remained in contact with her family and close friends. A year before her death Lisa moved to Springfield MO to be closer to her son. He was by her side for those last difficult months of her life.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service for Lisa will be held at 11 am on Friday June 24, 2022, at the Springdale Cemetery mausoleum in Peoria.
