IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda
Wade
January 29, 1944 – April 26, 2024
Linda Sue (Murrell) Wade was born January 29, 1944, in Willow Springs, Mo and passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in her home near Willard, Mo at the age of 80.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Lawrence (Larry), son, Bryan, parents James & Sarah Murrell, four sisters and one brother.
Linda is lovingly remembered by four children: Scott Wade, Sarah Bennett, Adam Wade and wife Stacey, Josh Wade and wife Stefanie and her
daughter-in-law Rene Wade, who was the beloved wife of her late son Bryan. Her legacy extends to her nine cherished grandchildren: Brock &
Jessica, Bailey & Shon, Daniel, Stephen, Alexander, Brooklyn, Abby, Mariah and Morgan. She was also blessed with four adored great grandchildren: Caiden, Rye, Lilah and Ledger. Linda is survived by her sister, Pat, and her husband Dale McKee, along with her sister-in-law Jeannie Murrell of Willow Springs, Mo. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
Linda's love for her children and family was boundless. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: cooking delicious meals, tending to her garden, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, playing games, celebrating holidays, and indulging in the thrill of thrift store shopping. Known for always being the life of the party, she never met a stranger. Everyone was her "favorite". Together with Larry, their home was a beacon of hospitality and warmth, and always full of guests whom they graciously fed and entertained, extending their love and care to ALL who came into their home and their hearts.
Linda's primary role was that of a devoted homemaker and nurturing mother, extending her care not only to her own five children but also to their friends and countless others. Her love could always be seen in the comforting embrace of her delicious homemade meals, which became a
hallmark of her affection. Later in life, Linda joined forces with her husband Larry and their sons in the family business, contributing her skills to the construction of new homes. Even amidst the demands of the job site, she never faltered in her maternal duties. At lunchtime, she could invariably be found, armed with her trusty crockpot and other cooking essentials, ensuring that everyone had a hearty meal to sustain them through the day, embodying the nurturing spirit she had always exemplified. You could anticipate that at least on one of those days there would be beans, cornbread and fried potatoes. One of her favorite meals.
In closing, Linda Sue (Murrell) Wade's life was one of unwavering love, boundless generosity, and her beautiful spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and hospitality that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, let us take solace in the countless memories and the enduring impact she has left behind. Though she may have departed from this world, her love will forever remain etched in our hearts. Rest in peace, Linda, knowing that your love and light will continue to shine brightly through the lives you touched.
