Obituary

Linda Lou Fresquez, 77, of Nixa, MO, passed away October 16, 2023. She was born July 26, 1946, in La Jolla, CA, to Tony and Connie Albiero.

In her younger years she worked at Lear Siegler making fuses and at Fender Guitar where she made amplifier parts.

Linda was the best cook in the world, there was nothing that she couldn't make. She loved to dance and sing to her "oldies, but goodies" records, decorating her home and family gatherings. She and her husband owned a 1938 Chevrolet, and the two enjoyed attending car shows together with their family and friends. She also enjoyed antiquing and playing the slots at the casino. One of her favorite things to do was collecting photos taken at family events, make duplicates and hand them out to friends and family in order for them to share in the precious memories. Linda always put others before herself, especially when it came to her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She always made sure that they never went without.

The most important thing in Linda's life was spreading the Word. In her younger years, when her husband left for work, she would gather all of the teenagers in the neighborhood under the olive tree in her front yard and read scriptures from the bible and pray with them. The neighborhood kids used to tell Linda's son and daughter how cool their mom was. She was such a loving and caring person that everywhere she went she left a positive impression. She told her children that she was put on earth with the mission to spread the Word. Linda had a special gift for recognizing when people (even strangers) needed prayer and she never hesitated to approach them and ask them if she could pray for them. When they asked her how she knew she would say, "because I walk with the Lord."

Linda was a faithful member of the congregation at James River. She often spoke about how beautiful it was there and how much she enjoyed the ministry. All she wanted was for everyone to keep the faith, walk with the Lord and spread the word because life is too short, and the Lord is coming soon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elliott Fresquez; her parents, Anthony Cesena Albiero and Connie Inda Albiero;  brothers, Robert Albiero and Tony Albiero; her sister, Christina Martinez; aunts, Cuca, Pacita, Mary, Dora and Margie; uncles, Pete and Jimmy; and a nephew, John Albiero.

Linda is survived by her son, James Elliott Fresquez Jr., her daughter, Phyllis Ann Walker; her grandchildren, Johnny Vincent Walker, Richard Anthony Walker, and Michael James Walker; her great grandkids, Mackenzee Walker and Presley Walker; her sister, Delia R Perez; nieces, Mary C. Zapata, Rosa L Cardenas and Lisa Albiero; and her nephews, Martin Martinez, Robert A Perez, Ricky Perez, and Tony Albiero.
