On December 28, 1943, the world received Lavon Mae, the only child born to Cleta and “Mac” McNally in Lubbock, TX. As she pursued her nursing career, she fondly became known as “Lee” that best complimented her kind spirit, classy smile, and unwavering strength. When she was 28 years- old, she married Major General Grover J. Isbell. During their journey together, they often slow- danced to their favorite love song, “Could I Have this Dance (for the Rest of my Life).” They shared unwavering dedication with their children, Samantha Lavon and Gregory Don.

Lee always had a pampered dog; whether her furry friend was a rescue dog or a show dog, her love was unmeasurable. Most recently, her Apricot Standard Poodle, “Charli,” was the light of her life. Charli stayed right by her side as she created Southwestern style jewelry, decorated a beautiful room with vibrant colors, and read one of her many “Walking Books,” which were library books that were delivered to her by the Greene County Public Library.

At the end of her life, Lee had angelic friends. She shared morning coffee with Ken Tuttle. Sonya Rippy compassionately supported her throughout each day. Peacefully, she reunited in heaven with her son, Gregory Don on July 27, 2026. She is survived by her daughter, Samantha, her husband, Dean, and their son, Tyler; her granddaughter, Amanda, and her husband, Cody, along with their children, Kaleigha, Caleb, and Kadence; and her grandson, Jeff, and his wife, Mandy, along with their sons, Damen and Brysten.

Lee's memory video reflects her kindness, grace, compassion, and unconditional love will live on through the family and friends whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
